I have found in viewing my blog on different monitors that some portraits appear dark and may not represent how they look in person.

A bit about us :) I am the proud mother of 3 amazing sons and wife to an amazing tall guy :) Although an autism diagnosis for some can be the worst thing in life to happen, I feel for us that there is no such thing as coincidence. I believe in Godincidence and Hunter is a gift from God, as every child is, no matter what they bring with them to this life.
Hunter has taught us to be more patient, more understanding and less judgmental. Not everything is as it appears, not everything is as obvious so never judge a book by its cover. I do not have a formal education in Autism but being his mother I am his therapist, his role model, his supporter and more. It is my obligation as his mother to educate myself and do all I can to understand him and Autism so I can help him.
He has taught us to be better parents, better partners and better people... that is not only an amazing gift given to us but also truly meant for us to have :)

What to expect when you order:
All portraits are created from photos you provide to me, either email or snail mail. Copywrite laws apply to all photos used, please email if you are unsure what this means to you.
I like to bring out the true inner spirit of your loved one so I'll be happy to assist you in choosing a candid photo reference that works best for what you have envisioned.
Medium used/details:
The illustrated portrait is created in charcoal, lead and pastels. Inspired by photos of "yesteryear", they are mainly black & white with added hints of color throughout. Illustrated area is 11 x 14 to fit into a 16 x 20 or larger frame. Classic white mat is included however the frame is not.
Shipping:
Your gently packaged portrait will ship USA Priority Mail with insurance and delivery confirmation within the USA for $10.00. Worldwide shipping is available for an added fee, please confirm rates prior to ordering.
I pride myself in detail and realism, stepping away for a few days and coming back to your portrait with a fresh new eye to create that which I may have missed earlier is what makes my portraits special and realistic. My need to do this requires quality creating time. Your portrait can take approx 4-5 weeks per subject to complete as a result.

No it is not a photo, it is a complete illustration that begins with a blank piece of grey paper and a beautiful photo displayed off to the side to be used as my reference.
